Welcome to Hell

There's a silhouette I take no pleasure in seeing
you hid my eyes,
sorrow and blight whole,
so I wouldn't eat through the pages
of your rustic lullabies.

Put me to sleep
the colors of hell
are my next-door neighbour,
they'll find my body
drowned and painted
my torso will leak my name out
and my eyes will stare away from you.

I take no pleasure
in seeing what you do to me.
Here, I love you, is that all you need from me?
I cannot be asked to know,
I merely provide
what the silhouette asks of me.
Looming as you do,
right as you take me down into hell.
