Wasteland of Nothing

Look at him, drifting, drifting in outer space,
Past the bonds of Earth, past all that's familiar.
It must be lonely, to be alone in the wasteland of nothing.
To be snowed under with thoughts of nothing, yet
they are daunting enough to make you go insane.
Perhaps, you are going insane, talking to yourself—
Look at him, so very far from home.

Soon, the bonds of Earth, won't contain you,
He'll no longer be alone in the wasteland of nothing.
You'll be swimming in a pool of empty matter.
Together, no longer alone—only that matters—
Look at you. You definitely are insane.
