Under Glass

The whole world’s a bloody freak show
Horrified and horrifying.
Who’s on the outside, who’s looking in?
        Both are dying.
One is victim, one aggressor.
Tolerance gone and change in high gear
Money hunger destroying nature
What was normal once now gone for good.
Industrial wastes and polluted water,
poisoned air and tainted food.
        We’ve become such ugly creatures
of warped chromosomes and mutant genes
that should we view a grotesque mis-creation
It’s likely just our mirrored image.
        Bloody freak.
