Throwing down the gauntlet

It is hard to accept a challenge,
Difficult to get ones hands dirty,
Hard to stand up and stand out from the rest,
Life would be much simpler if we could handle our worries and fears with kid gloves,
Make them go away,
But sometimes it is necessary to put on our boxing gloves,
And stand up for ourselves or others.
