The unprecedented race

No start line nor finish.
Day in and day out you run.
Your feet run during the day,
Your mind wanders at the night
The path is set but not by you.
Sometimes you run alone,
And sometimes you are accompanied.
Some drop out, some stay,
And some move ahead of you.
But you never see the finish line,
In the near sight.
And only the ones who drop out,
Are the real winners.
