The Scarlet Woman

We called her 'The Scarlet Woman'
and gave her sails of red and white
like shiny scarlet lips astride pearls
of white teeth.
We roamed the seas in her.
Entered every port
in search of the scarlet women
with hot ruby lips
who would give us a hand
to paint the town red.
