The Architect

To one day leave this existence
Is to dream of a far away moon
Where my nativity is fed
With spoonfuls of story.

Where marshland devours
A concrete army
And trees reign
upon higher thrones.

Laughing at the blocks
of glass and stone
That crane their necks upward
Grey with envy.
