straightforward bending

We're surrounded by lines,
lines in a grocery store,
lines in an Instagram post,
lines in the air floating from one mouth to two ears.

The lines may lead us somewhere
or nowhere
or both.

The lines give us choices.
Every day,
there are simply so many.
And even the most minute of decisions
can have the grandest of impacts.

My lines are important to me, and
I try to make the best decisions
with my lines
for both me
and you.

But sometimes,
I wish
there were just
a few
less
lines.
