And what is this I see before me
A shuttered window
A symbol of that always
alluring
portal
Opening to where?
Another time
opportunity
place?
A wood block carving,
with no such deep meaning
simply a design
of light and colour
to capture our eyes
and a tiny portion
of our soul.
