I’m high above the Earth
in a suit that shields my body and face.

I’m in the most extraordinary place –
I’m no longer in Perth.

I move with the most amazing of grace.
I ponder my rebirth

While training for years at NASA, I braced
myself for spaceship berths.

I miss some members of the human race.
I gaze at space – sheer dearth –

Still, space is my very favourite workplace
and my new place of birth.
