Quioxte Quixano

Don’t you Don Quixote me.
I’m off to seek adventure
beyond these walls, that tree…
Suited up, I’m armed for battle.
Got my lance, my steed, and a sideways saddle.
I aim to right some wrongs,
defend some lasses—
Sancho, fetch the liquid courage
and help me find my glasses!
I’m not daft or quixotic—
my knee and hips are bionic.
Prejudice, toxins, poverty…
neither ghost nor tilting windmills be.
I’ve foe to conquer
and world to see.
Don’t you Don Quixote me!
