Other

In other earth
These black tulips
Would have another hue
Would climb
And never wilt

In other air
These bubbles
Would implode
One after the other
After the other

In another world
I would pour wax
On to the fire
And laugh
At the flames

In another life
Such gin
Would be nought
But water

And the keeper
Of the peacocks
Would keep my spirit
