Yet the neverending torture.
Has covers of triumph.
It takes time to realize what someone

Yet it’s too late now.
The damage has been done.
The knife in my back.
Sharper than the words we said.
Yet those hurt more than the ending.
A shadow of the past.
That’s all you are now.
Gazing above me.
Feeling relief as I plunge.
Into the great sorrow.
Of regret and wishing for renewal.
