Inside the Dark

Blindfolded
    backwards

Hair in my face
    suspended sideways
the blindfold - sheer cloth
    drags me     forward
    backward.
Will my eyes see light again?
For now I only feel,
    soft,
    bristles
    both irritating and peaceful
Back and forth
    always in between
the peace
and the pain
which I know now
       and always
here in the darkness
behind my backward eyes.

Inside the Dark

My light beams
    forever
from inside.
Where in the obscure
    cloud of darkness
is a glimmer of light,
    always brightening,
no matter how tight we are blindfolded.
In the obscure cloud,
a glimmer of light brightens.
Makes me think:
    How tightly    and by whom
are we truly blinded?
