How to soar above the static

All shut down
held static
in freeze frame
everything stopped
the image of movement
curtailed within
the environment
of nothing doing.

And all around ripples
fixed, flows stilled
trees held their leaves close
nothing stirred

It would be like this now
that moment
remembered
when everything stopped
and the only way to soar
lay in our heads
a place where anything
was possible.
