appropriation

assume apprehension
of airs (& heirs)

pour penalties
of blunt pain & daily pairs dares
with menus devoid
of nutrients (neither poached nor baked pears)

& waste

expand waistlines
of inflated vending

(not all chips are fair)
& squash scents
of scrunched noses
(not all flowers are roses)

brush unkempt manes
maintain forced air (temperament)

temper minutes & moments
in mirrors
trimmed (tarnished)
of cast iron & turquoise green
rust
