we were
waiting
as usual
on the platform
heading
downtown
for the night
after a long
long long
day working
wanting
like most
young people
to rest
in motion
dancing
in a club
so as we
waited
we started
our dance
in sync
a parody
of resting
and fatigue
straightening
upwards
Heading Downtown
moving into
expansive
gestures
arms out
a leap
spinning
each other
a leap
hands grasped
flinging
ourselves
into night
