FAREWELL AT THE TRAIN STATION

Please don't say goodbye
Don't bid me farewell
I know what it means
It means I will be left with nothing
Only the pain of solitude
And the blasting sunrays waking me up to your memory
To the tears that will flood my eyes every passing morning
I will seek cover under the red apple tree
And hope the scent from your pink dress will brighten some of the dark days.

So when you leave, I will live like you never left
Dance in the rain like we used to
Bathe in the sun when it’s time to
Because without that, I am left with nothing
Except for a longing to hold you back in my arms when you alight at the train station.
