She let it all go,
dove in without accepting
any naysaying
about cellphones or hair,
felt them
run out through her ears,
with her fingertips’
energy.
When she found
where she belonged,
hung there
among the stars
and the flattened landscape
below, her skin glowed
and she gave in to the pull
of the atmospheric tides.
