Don’t I Know You?
There is always one, in any assembly. Perhaps right there in front of you on entering. Perhaps shadowed away in an alcove, or quiet beside some showier gorgeousness. But it will be there, distilled through the alchemy of pine and canvas and coloured dusts – that one face that catches you somewhere below vision, that tugs at the heart like a caught breath.A splinter of incarnation, a whisper from the flatlands between paint and canvas, foot and shadow. A life in two dimensions, Then and Now.
I stand in the Here, and marvel.
