Cortisol times

the sound of horns ratchets up
meets clay
dampens

this is how sisters support each other
in these cortisol times

one
takes out
what is dark
holds without being seen
pushes into herself
to raise others up

two
muscles fold up into music
stretch and thin
bunch and thicken
ready to erase
to read, replace, realise
cleanse

three
sits shoulder extended
leans over the edge
leaves glow up
into flight
into dance
