Contortionist

This might be the best aspect.
From here I might unfold and open.

I am trying to keep my head down
while holding my heart high.

For all the skill involved, I fear I still
appear undignified, forced.

One day soon I will stand firm
stand tall, stand on my own strong feet.

If they ask me I might tell them
they too should look at things from a different angle.

But truth is, I am tired of all this twisting
and trying to see things from both sides.

The seasons change and I am like a crocus
and I stretch skywards.
