Boy-ology

A dream is a dream is a dream
Until it becomes reality
Reality is something more
(or less, depending on who you ask)

We all thought ending climate
change was a dream
but when that scientist
(or guy in a lab coat, who knows)
threw that switch

The earth became enveloped in ice
The climate changed
but there was no more
climate change

Dream became reality
Just like those genie wishes
always sneak up on you
and leave you worse off than before

Good news is that everyone,
almost everyone is dead
so they don't get to feel
the disappointment

Bad news is I am cold
and I am lonely
and I miss the sun
and Netflix and cable TV.
