AN(N) DROID QUESTIONS

I am here but not quite as before
there's stainless steel where once was a core
rivets and screws link me together
wires on my arms where once was leather
shiny metal replacing my heart
welded tightly – it won't fall apart.

Wrists are corded and I trust
that none of these attachments rust!
My head is filled with technology
no more connected to biology.
My face may be plastic. Can it melt?
Some earthly pain will surely be felt.
Am I simply an expert's dream?
Believe me, that's not how I seem.
My inner feelings are locked away
whilst I learn to live the robot way.
