Bird and dog fancier stall
In a menagerie of existences
Had varied species of hound
Avis and Feilis there
A ladder like a pecking order
Beneath above and to the side were
Pit Bulls, Blood Hounds, Whippets
Song birds, parrots, minor birds – and cats
A man standing amidst
Offering them for sale for ha’pennies
