A Leap and a Push

I’ve lived for hours
where our little known spring napped.

I summoned the summer
in a small voice:

‘Help me!’,
offered into a mirror.

If I survived my wildlife encounter,
and all the things one does
when setting up, I am proud.

I want: I have.
I'm not just about trying.

I've lived in the wilderness,
enjoying the steaming sunset.

Don’t get me wrong: this is not a story.
This is my life.

Here in the valley of veils,
I made a robe of my life
and cast it upon your shoulders.
