From the Forest
In the equestrian eye, I see the vulnerability of the purest self. Together we are born and exposed. A primal potency, too ancient for the rigidity of modern words, imbues the shared space between us. Buried deep, the untamed spirit of the horse unearths the urge to run wild and drink from the river's edge - disturbing the elusive boundary between human and animal form. I want to be your protector from the rain and the cold as you have carried me from the forest into the machines of civilization. Oh, how I long for your gaze; in it I am alive.
