Take the Giant Lobster
Take the giant lobster, if you will,
The dog is sad, Time is still;
The table is laid, take your fill -
Think not of the shrivelling grapes yet.
Abundance of colors, profusely smell,
Heady juices brimming, tastes foretell;
Heed not how the minutes from your hours fell -
As the soul stretches - sheer georgette.
In Cornucopia didn't you once believe
When shoring life in a clotted sieve,
When you thought anything could be retrieved?
Look hard now! Whose is the silhouette?
