I smell the smoke
Tangy, heavy with the scent of black cherry honey.
I feel the clay
Baked earth shattered over with sunshine.
I taste the salt
Pigmented with saffron and sprinkled over with wine.
I hear the wind
The naked rustle of the trees.
I create the memory
Between frayed lines kissed over with time
Nostalgia seeds and blossoms.
