- Chapter 03
If only
If only for a damsel in distress,
I would fly my colours green as moss,
claret-stained as sundew, and sunny
as the gold of liquid honey.
I would mount my trusty steed
and gallop with great skill and speed,
my well-forged armour glistening
in the rays of a sun-blessed morning,
to a place where turrets high
pierce the azure of the sky,
pennants flourish on the breeze,
and heroes perish on thorny trees.
If I were a courageous knight
and learned to remain upright
in the saddle, to joust and fight -
if only for a damsel, I might.
