Cut Down
What is the root of this ambition
That makes us want to shape the world around us to our liking?
In our image, as they say.
No matter if a living thing must be cut down.
Is it about an endless journeying?
A comfort in the restlessness:
The lands uncharted,
The quests unresolved,
We create aspirations
So we may know we have dreams left to chase.
Is it an endlessly repeating fallacy?
Like fighting noise with sound
Like bringing purpose into chaos,
Not knowing what the purpose is of chaos (it is chaos)
We bring about stillness through motion,
And harmony through death.
