Empty Gloves

Are like empty actions.
Fingerless, void and vengeful.
Or pitiful and vacuous.

They cannot gesticulate.
Or point the accusatory finger
at cruel injustice or useless rhetoric.

Motionless gloves are impotent
without vigorous vital hands
determined to have their gesture.

They are a wall of pretenders.
In their matching glory.
All wool and no welly.

Give me warm hands in gloves
who are staunchly holding placards.
Demanding to be heard.

Against people standing immobile.
Pointing Far-right and not caring.
When gloved hands remove their neighbours.
